Özet

Adenomatoid tumors are rare benign neoplasms occuring in the paratesticular region. They account for one third of the tumors in this region, and two thirds of benign tumors. Due to the benign nature, conservative, testis-sparing surgery should be selected where possible. They usually present as extra testicular masses and rarely as masses with non-smooth and infiltrative margins, indistinguishable from malignant lesions. Intraoperative frozen section analysis is therefore crucial in cases suspected with malignancy clinically and radiologically in order to avoid unnecessary orchiectomy In this study, we aimed to present a case of adenomatoid tumor detected during intraoperative frozen section along with morphologic and immunohistochemical characteristics as well as findings of frozen section, and to emphasize the importance of frozen section evaluation in such cases.
