Özet

Facility location determination is a strategic decision for a company. When a decision is made on a facility location, ensuring product distribution from this facility for many years affects many performance criteria for the company. Therefore, as a result of this decision, the company's supply chain success is affected. Among the methods used for discrete facility location selection is the P-Center method. The P-Center problem is a model of locating p facilities on a network in order to minimize the maximum coverage distance between each vertex and its closest facility. This study aims to determine the most suitable location for a concrete plant in Samsun by using the P-Center method. For this purpose, a mixed integer mathematical model was developed and model results were found in GAMS software. As a nature of case study, new constraints are applied to the model. As a result, this research contributes to decision-making processes in facility location problem and offers an effective methodology for selecting the most appropriate facility location under certain geographical conditions.
