Özet

Nivik grass (Arum maculatum L.) is a taxonomic plant in the araceae family. It is popularly known as cork grass, bear ears, snake pillow, bumps. All parts of this wild plant have a strong irritating effect on the mucous membranes but become more harmless if boiled or dried for a long time. Since this weed produces a tingling sensation in the mouth when consumed due to its strong acid content, it is known that large amounts are rarely taken and serious damage is unusual. The nivik plant, which is known to grow naturally in the Black Sea region, is sold and consumed as an indispensable vegetable in winter in the markets. In this article, we aimed to present the intoxication experience of mother and daughter after eating.
