Dr. Öğr. Üyesi MOHAMMAD RAUF SHEIKHI

Dr. Mohammad Rauf Sheikhi is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Samsun University in Turkey. He earned his PhD in Aircraft Fuselage-Engine Maintenance from the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Eskişehir Technical University in Turkey. He worked as a PhD fellow at the School of Aerospace Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University for 2 years. He furthered his expertise through a postdoctoral program in Smart Composites and Structures at the High-Speed Train Research Center, School of Transportation Engineering, Central South University, China. His research focuses on developing and applying eco-friendly, smart composites for aerospace, automotive, and high-speed train structures to enhance their resistance to impact, vibration, and noise. He has extensive experience creating and testing eco-friendly composites, such as cork, and intelligent structures based on Shear Thickening Fluids (STFs) and Shear Stiffening Gels (SSGs). Additionally, he is skilled in designing, organizing, and validating various experimental testing systems for assessing impact, vibration, and noise.
